Priscilla Layne is an associate professor of German at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At the Academy, she’s completing work on her second book, Out of this World: Afro-German Afrofuturism, which focuses on Afro-German authors’ use of Afrofuturist concepts in literature and theater.
